STRETCH YOUR MONEY: New is only so for a few minutes! After that, it becomes a "used" item. So, whenever you can, buy second hand. Thrift Shops, Garage Sales and Consignment Shops are a must. Remember also to buy in a supermarket, or shop, any good products you need (health/ustensils/housekeeping items/food that can be frozen) that are on clearance. Discount stores have got cheap good vegetables, fruits even cooking ingredients and cans. For fresh produces too, the Farmer's Markets are usually good for value. And, to finish, buy in bulk and freeze a lot of what you can, like bread, meats etc...Oh...A car? A good gently used car (you can find them in local newspapers or auctions) can be a good investment as it does not lose value (like a new vehicle) and is usually quite cheaper, in the long run, as you do not make many (or no) payments. Energy savings are also easy to do: Turn all lights off when necessary as well as stand by power for TV's, computers etc...Use fluorescent bulbs and save water by taking more showers than baths. Wash full loads of washing up and laundry (with cold rinse at least for the latter). Big phone bills? Go to your Gas Station and buy a pre paid phone card for $5 or $10, and you will not believe how many talking minutes you get (for $5, you get hours of international minutes).

* HAVE SOME ANGER COMING UP? Feelings are like a boomerang: it goes away far from you when you throw it but comes back with tremendous momentum. So, throw positive and positive will come back 10 times fold!
* WHAT IS YOUR WORTH? Be a beacon of positive lifestyle for others and this world: it is NEVER too late to be better and share your wisdom: A Community College course, training at a club or at home, learning another language, volunteering for a charity...YOU are worth it.
* I CAN DO IT ON MY OWN, RIGHT? No man or woman is an island: sometimes we need guidance or/and help because of a rough patch or a circumstance which did arise, and made your life a roller coaster ride. By seeking help, we understand our limits, then, we gain more power to share our gained knowledge with people that needs it. That is richer than any gold to have...

Pause your job, if at home, make sure the kids are in a cool safe activity or watch TV for a moment, find a quiet place and BREATHE: 10 times, slowly inhale, exhale and move your arms sideways or in front of you, up and down ,from shoulder level to waist. slowly. After that, focus on a good moment you did have as a memory. Once you have it, relax with it, then come back to what you have to do.
* I WANT TO BE THE BEST, RIGHT? If no success, do it again, you certainly have got the brain: that saying even rhymes! Failure is only if you do not do your best or do not try. Anything else is true success as you cannot do better. to be the best in yourself is really what counts. Point.
*I CAN DO IT ALL, NO? Everything has got limits, so have you: your stomach, a glass of water, a road, the capacity of a fridge etc... Learn them, accept them and by doing so, you can rule out disappointments. Also, by knowing your limits, you can, by philosophy even spirituality and mental/physical training, extend them to a higher level!
* I WANT PERFECTION! Nothing is perfect, so doing your best is it: nothing in life is perfect. Besides, by cosmic mathematics alone (so by probability of happening) you will, more than not, make mistakes, errors and have accidents. What does really count? To do the least of them, and to repair them as well as trying to avoid not to do it again. That is the "perfection" you can realistically attain
* ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER DOLLAR? Tune your day: listen to some music that makes you happy: just a song, or music itself, that lift up your spirit, will really give you a boost of energy and a smile for the day. Do not let depression come in. You are more than that. |
